Our HERO Calico Dust Bags made completely from recycled cotton are perfect for online retailers looking to pack their products with reusable packaging. The HERO Calico bags are made from recycled fabrics and protect your products inside the HEROPACK. The bags are great for jewellery, fashion, apparel, swimwear, books and accessories. These drawstring bags are made from recycled, unbleached, natural calico fibres, and are machine washable (without printing).
These bags can be custom printed in full colour (logos or photos) with a minimum order quantity of just 25 bags. You can also order a single bag as a printed sample. Simply select "YES - ADD MY LOGO" and add your artwork. We'll send through a print proof and then print your full order. Printing times depend on the quantity ordered.

Our printing is best for logos, images and text. It is not for blocks of colour. If your artwork has solid blocks of colour, we will contact you to discuss any changes that may need to be made to make sure your bags look incredible.
As the bags are handmade, there will be very slight variances in the measurements, and the material colour may vary marginally from one shipment to the next.
- The bags are 100% cotton and made from recycled cotton
- The bags are 120gsm
- The calico bags come in 4 sizes:
- 80mm x 120mm,
- 150mm x 210mm,
- 200mm x 300mm and
- 300mm x 400mm.
- We do not recommend machine washing. To clean the bags, we recommend a cold hand wash to prevent shrinkage.
Please read the following before ordering custom printed bags:
- We can print in full colour (multiple colours in your artwork) but cannot print in white. There may be slight variations on the printing including sizing and colours. Any white backgrounds in your artwork will not print. If your actual logo/text artwork is submitted in white, it will be converted to black for printing.
- If you have any issues uploading your artwork, you can place your order as usual including custom printing, leave a note on your order, and email the artwork to us separately at hello@heropackaging.com.au.
- We cannot print on the whole bag. These are the print areas:
XS: 6cm x 8cm, SMALL: 13cm x 16cm, MEDIUM: 17cm x 24cm, LARGE: 26cm x 32cm
- If you need double sided printing, please email us for a quote. Please also note that the inks we use are not suitable for machine washing. Very gentle hand washing may be possible but should be tested first as colours may run depending on the print.
- The colours printed on these bags may not be as saturated as the images or logo you provide. For example, blacks may appear like dark grey when printed on the bags. This is due to the nature of the material of the recycled cotton and the eco-friendly inks. Please note also that images online may appear differently to what the bags will look like in person. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask our team!

INTERNATIONAL (outside Australia):
There may be some delivery delays for non-Australian orders. Please allow more time for your order to arrive and check your tracking link for the latest information before contacting us. Take note of the estimated delivery times in checkout. If in doubt, contact the shipping carrier directly to obtain further information. When ordering mailers, it's best to keep additional buffer stock to avoid running out.
Contact us for urgent orders: If you are in urgent need of compostable mailers, we can provide a separate shipping quote for non-Australian orders using other shipping carriers such as DHL Express who will be delivering faster than our usual carriers. Please contact us if this is an option for you and we can assist.

Delivery times: In general, please allow 2-8 business days (standard shipping) and 1-3 business days (express shipping) for delivery once your order has been shipped. For Sydney Metro customers, we do also offer warehouse pick-up and have same-day shipping options on our website. International orders:
Delivery times: In general, please allow 5-20 business days for delivery once your order has been shipped. Delivery times vary from country to country and rely on the central postal services in the recipient country. Please note that unforeseen events such as natural disasters can impact delivery times. Import duties: Orders placed outside of Australia will be classed as an import in the recipient country. As such, you will need to pay the associated import duties and taxes required to clear customs in your country. The shipping carrier assigned to your shipment will contact you using the details on your order when placed. If import duties are not paid by the recipient as required, the shipment will be diverted to commercial composting facilities for disposal and cannot be returned. No refunds will apply in these cases either.
Returns:
Change of mind: If you have purchased the wrong size, or no longer need your mailers, you may be able to return them for a store credit within 14 days of purchase. Due to the renewable ingredients used and shelf life of our mailers, no change-of-mind returns can be accepted under any circumstances after this period. We have a strict returns process to ensure all returns are received correctly and can be re-sold to other customers. Change of mind returns are also subject to handling and restocking fees and the original shipping cost being deducted from any store credit. For custom orders which have not been printed yet, a sampling/setup fee between $15-$50 will also be deducted from any change of mind returns for custom orders. If a custom order has already been printed, no change of mind returns will be accepted. If you need to return your product(s), please contact us for further instructions.
Product issues: Sometimes things don't go to plan. Rest assured we will ensure a fast resolution which can include product replacements, store credits and refunds. If you have any product issues whatsoever, please contact us for further instructions. Generally, we will request photos or a video of any issues to help provide the fastest resolution.
Pre-Order Information:
Occasionally, our products could be out of stock and move to a pre-order listing. This will be noted when purchasing the products and will also be noted in your order confirmation alongside any pre-order items.
No Split Shipments: Please note that if pre-order items are purchased together with regular items which are in stock, the entire order will be on hold until the pre-order stock is available for shipping (we cannot partially ship orders). If you wish to place a pre-order as well as purchase available items, it's best to purchase separately to avoid delays in shipping your order.
