AQUAHERO Garment Bag FAQs

What is AQUAHERO?

AQUAHERO is a water-soluble garment bag that replaces single-use plastic bags for clothing, underwear, swimwear and soft homewares inside a mailer or box. Add boiling water and it dissolves.

What is it made from?

PVOH, a marine-safe material, printed with non-toxic, water-based ink.

How does my customer dispose of it?

  1. Cut off the adhesive strip.
  2. Place the bag in boiling water and stir until it dissolves.
  3. Pour the water onto plants or down the sink.

If any residue remains, add more boiling water. The bag leaves no toxic residue.

Can the bag be opened and resealed?

Yes. The adhesive strip can be sealed and resealed, so products can be inspected.

Can barcodes be scanned through it?

Yes. The material is completely transparent, so barcodes can be scanned without opening the bag.

What sizes are available?

Small (19 x 25.5cm) and Medium (30 x 42.5cm), in packs of 100.

The bags feel sticky. Is that normal?

Yes. The bags may stick to each other slightly; this is normal and doesn’t affect how they work.

Do they have a shelf life?

Yes, 9–12 months. Store them somewhere cool and dry and order enough for 6–9 months of use.

Where are they made?

AQUAHERO bags are produced in Malaysia. The water-based inks are made in Germany.
