Georgie Paws leather Dog Collars and Leads are stocked in over 200 stores in Australia, United Kingdom, United States of America, the United Kingdom and New Zealand including iconic retailers such as Nordstrom, Ezibuy and Anthropologie. Designed and Directed by 17-year-old Violet Coleman, Georgie Paws is leading the market globally with high end, distinctive Dog Collars, Leads, Gifts and Accessories. Starting in 2017, Violet draws her inspiration from traditional equine designs with her own twist of creative, bright colours. Violets philosophy for helping those in need and reducing waste has shaped Georgie Paws. All leather products are made in Pakistan where Georgie Paws supports families with manufacturing. The use of plastic is an absolute minimum and scraps of leather are used until they are no longer usable. Buffalo leather is used extensively due to its sustainability, religious neutral, sturdy structure (buffalo is not stretched during tanning, therefore wont stretch as a finished product) and its natural structure doesn’t require the amount of chemicals as other commonly used leathers. Labelling, merchandising and packaging uses scraps of leather, and compostable materials reducing waste and polution. Based in Adelaide, Australia, Violet is in year 12 at school. Her mother, Annette came on board to help with the global growth of Georgie Paws in July 2018, along with administration support. The mother/daughter relationship is strong since Violet’s father died shortly after she was born – the 2 girls have forged a future and a joint passion for timeless beauty and resourcefulness. In 3 years, Violet’s business has grown to global distribution. Still doing well at school, Violet has also been recognised through: pitching to the Sharks on Shark Tank; round 2 of the Telstra Business Awards; nomination for Young Achiever of the Year (Aust); Nomination for the Telstra Business Women’s Awards and Nomination for Women in Innovation Awards.
